How Does Hypnosis Work When You’re Not in the Same Room?

Through using the phone, FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype, we can work with clients around the world. We’ve been using these technologies for years to great success. However, sometimes clients are a little doubtful that hypnosis will work if they’re not actually in the same room with the hypnotherapist. How does this really work?

When we work with clients, whether in the office or virtually, we first sit down for a chat to get a better idea of the issue they’re dealing with. This gives them an opportunity to tell their story, share with us what their struggles have been up until now, and what they may have done in the past to try to deal with those struggles.

It gives us the opportunity to drill down and ask more specific questions so we can get a clearer picture of both the issue itself and how it fits into that person’s life overall.

After we’ve gotten a clear picture of the issue, explained hypnosis, and answered any questions, then we can focus on the hypnosis part of the session.

When you’re in the office, that happens then and there. You’re sitting in a comfortable recliner, and we’re sitting there doing the hypnosis. In a virtual session, however, we don’t want you to be concerned about any possible connection issues, so instead of doing the hypnosis live, we make you a customized recording and email it to you.

Because we’ve just gotten a clear picture of what’s going on with you and how you’re feeling, this recording is completely customized to you. We can work in the same suggestions we’d use if you were sitting in front of us in the office. And because it’s a recording, you can listen to it when it’s convenient for you. Some clients choose to listen to their session right before bed, some clients like to listen to it first thing in the morning to start their day off on the right foot, and some clients will use it as a break in the middle of their day. You can use it sitting comfortably in a chair or on the couch, or you can choose to lie on your bed. It really doesn’t matter. You will be instructed on how to make the best use of each recording.

But does it really work?

We’ve been successfully working with clients virtually for years. This has allowed Drake to work with athletes just before a big event, even when they’re in a different state or country, and allowed Lynsi and Rachel to work with fertility clients around the world. In fact, if you look at the photos on HypnoFertility.com, many of those babies belong to clients that have never set foot in our office. We’ve got the testimonials and photos to prove it works.

And while this feature is especially handy now with so many people staying home to keep themselves and their families safe, we have clients who live in the same state who’ve always done virtual sessions because it saves them the time of driving back and forth to and from our office. Virtual sessions are convenient and effective, and we’re always here to help!
